In My Corner of the World

In My Corner of the World

In my corner of the world, people are in pain.

In my corner of the world, drugs and violence seem to reign.

In my corner of the world, some are sick and dying,

Families gathered close, their hearts breaking, crying.

Illness touches all of us, for we are human still,

Searching for true healing, for true peace of will.

The love of God feels distant in so many lives;

His truth and His grace, so few recognize.

Across the earth, across our nation,

Every heart carries its own situation.

And every life holds one need above all—

To know Christ deeply, to answer His call.

In my corner of the world, it’s always the same:

Empty hearts aching, so many burdened with pain.

Many blinded, unable to see

That through Jesus the Son, they are truly free.

But in every corner of the world, if we look, we’ll find

Saints on their knees, with compassion in mind—

Lifting up prayers, extending God’s love,

Touching a few with blessings from above.

Yes, in my corner of the world, I’ve got my work to do,

And in your corner, I know you do too.

We are many parts of one body here,

Building God’s Kingdom, moving forward without fear.

For in my corner of the world, God’s Spirit resides,

And His fullness will pour out in His perfect time.

And in every corner, in every place,

God’s Spirit will touch all who seek His face.

In my corner of the world.
