The Angels Came Down

I remember the day.  I received a text saying "Did you hear? Someone tried to assasinate President Trump."

I am a Trump supporter and have alwats believed God has His protection over him.   That doesn't mean I believe He is perfect.  Only God is the true answer to life's issues.  However He uses us and calls each of us for His purposes.

After watching the news, it seemed clear. God's protection was on this man, which inspired the following.

The Angels Came Down

The angels came down today.

They heard the words of those that prayed.

They stopped the bullets from hitting him.

More than the secret service men.

The deep state tried to impeach this man

Because he boldly took a stand.

They tried to make him guilty of a crime

But the people loved him more every time.

It seemed no matter how hard his enemies tried.

He came out on top and on the people’s side.

He can’t be tamed he can’t be taken out.

This is God's edict there is no doubt.

The time of recompense is now at hand.

The deep state will fall from where they stand.

Those who have lied to us the people

and have persecuted Christians and the feeble.

Their lies will no longer be allowed.

God will soon be bringing low the proud.

As God of heaven and earth, no one can thrwart His plan

Or take His appointed ones out of His hand.

So go ahead scheme and do what you will.

God has the final say and will intervene still.

Your ways are not His ways and never will be.

Until you confess His name on bended knee.

God’s angels came down today,

Because there was a remnant who decided to pray.

A small group who said amen to God’s plan.

Who knew God is the one who reigns in this land.

The Last Word

THE LAST WORD

You don't always have to have the last word.

We think we do because we want to be heard.

But sometimes its best to let go of pride.

And walk away and leave it on the other side.

In a world of polarity and divisiveness

There are some things we need not discuss.

That doesn't mean we should cower in fear.

We can speak the truth in love though they may never hear.

We all have a right too our voice.

Whether we are pro life or pro choice.

But sometimes the arguments never end.

It's okay to leave it there. No need to defend.

We don't always have to argue with those on the other side.

God is the one in the end who will truly decide

In the battle of evil and good.

We can leave it there even if we are misunderstood.

We dont always have to have the last Word

We can leave it there, leave the pot unstirred

We have said our peace let God take it from here.

He will have the last word in the end, making it all so clear.

The Onion

This is another poem I put on YouTube a few years ago. A lot of people really enjoyed the analogy of our lives to an onion.

Jesus is In the Stern

JESUS IS IN THE STERN

When the storms close in around you, remember Jesus is in the stern.

When the bills pile up with no way out remember Jesus is where you turn.

Jesus is in the stern sleeping because He alone knows

The storm is never as bad as we suppose.

As we cry out in fear screaming Gods name;

He simply says where is your faith, your fear is in vain.

Did you not know I hold the world in my hand?

And we fall on our face in shame as we begin to understand.

When panic unfolds in your heart

Remember Jesus resides in your innermost part.

He is right there sleeping in the stern of your soul

And He will awake and calm the storm,

making you whole.

Jesus is in the stern and He knows what lies ahead.

But he seems able to sleep and has no dread

So rest assured he will awake at the right time saying peace be still

And we will stand amazed at His word as we live in His will.

As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.

The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!”

Luke 8:23-24

I Will Stand Up for the Broken

I recently had an awakening. God has given us all talents and in Matthew 25:24-28 we read 24 “Then the man who had received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’

26 “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? 27 Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

28 “‘So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags. 29 For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 30 And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

This scripture has always convicted me because I have over a thousand writings sitting in a filing cabinet in my office that I have just kept there for the last 20 years. So one day I finally said “God I'm sorry. I've hidden your word away in a filing cabinet.” He revealed to me that I had a idol in my heart of “seeking the approval of man more than the approval of God.” The reality of it all was fear was at the root of it. He showed me a picture of my fear in so many areas of my life and gave me a vision of himself holding my hand and taking me out of a jail cell where I had been living so that I can fulfill the calling he has for me once and for all. I kept hearing in my ear, “Trust me,just trust me.”

Immediately the floodgates of inspiration flowed again into my life and I knew right then God expected me to not put these words in a filing cabinet and hide them away.

I have a Facebook account and I have many different people from many different backgrounds as my friends. Some are conservatives some are liberals some are Christians some are not and I knew once I start posting His word I would have people mad at me. I knew however, that I had to follow through. This poem was written after I had received much criticism for posting pro-life posts. I work with moms and their babies up to age two and I'm very passionate about those sweet innocent lives in the womb. So this was written as a result of that passion. It was also written to make a statement that I'm not going to apologize for what I believe.

I WILL STAND UP FOR THE BROKEN

I will stand up for the broken who do not have a voice.

Those that have been tossed away in the name of choice.

I will unapologetically proclaim the truth on their behalf.

Despite the pointing fingers and accusations full of wrath.

I will boldly tell the truth, I won't apologize I wont relent.

Until all the strength within me is spent.

The world has its excuses for why they continue on.

The use worldly logic and emotion until all truth is gone.

They can blabber on their foolish arguments all day.

In the meantime, I will continue on and for them I will pray.

I will only do what I see my Father do

And I will only speak the words that I believe are true.

Its not to offend, but to free us from ourselves

That Gods laws are there for our benefit and wealth.

But His Word is a sword and it cuts to the heart.

And exposes our idols and sins in our innermost part.

It is meant to disturb us and wake us from our sleep

So we will rise up, follow Him and defend the weak.

So I will stand up for the broken, I will stand up for Jesus Christ.

I will unapologetically live my faith and never let it be denied.

We Won't Fall in Line

WE WON'T FALL IN LINE

We won't fall in line when we know the truth

Or believe the lies indoctrinated from youth.

We wont say yes when the pressure is on

We will stand our ground We will stand strong

We won't fall in line no matter who wins the election.

November 5th is a day Of grand inspection.

Those in power only stay there If we sit still.

So we won't fall in line and vote against God's will.

We won't fall in line for a bigger paycheck.

We won't fall in line to save our own neck.

We won't fall in line to the left ideology.

We will stand up against all of their hypocrisy.

We live in a world today that has changed so fast.

We definitely do not live In the America of the past.

They call it progress but I call it out on every turn

Our values and morals are not what our children learn.

We won't fall in line even though it's all over our TV.

We won't fall in line. We will demand to live free.

So go ahead world, give it all you got.

Shame us, accuse us of what we are not.

We won't fall in line, we won't follow along.

We are God's anointed and we will stand strong.

We won't fall in line until God calls us again.

It's then when we stand tall and worship him.
